A Comedy of Tenors

Cast composition: 3 female roles, 4 male roles

If you saw Lend Me A Tenor a few years back here in PWP, you won’t want to miss this sequel and find out what has happened to Italian opera superstar Tito Merelli and his hot-blooded wife Maria.  Four tenors, two wives, and THREE girlfriends in one hotel suite. . .what could go wrong!  Prepare for an uproarious ride, full of mistaken identities, bedroom hijinks and madcap delight.  Critics say: “Laugh after laugh greets one improbable scene after another.  Playwright Ken Ludwig has hit the jackpot again with his fast-paced, over-the-top farce.”

“Everybody Loves Opal”

Cast composition: 2 female roles, 4 male roles

Everyone Loves Opal written by John Patrick is a prank in 3 acts! It is entertaining with both laughter and a cheerful philosophy. The plays main character, Opal, lives as a virtual recluse in a tumbled down mansion. She is besieged by three con artists who convince Opal they are her friends. What they really want is to see her dead so they can collect on an insurance policy they bought on her life. Add into the mix a small town sheriff and doctor! The hilarity comes from these criminal’s antics and everyone’s interaction with the kind-hearted and always optimistic Opal. Will the villains fall victim to Opal’s odd charm or manage to do her in?

Mark your calendars and plan to audition for your favorite character in one of these great plays.
