Pinewood Players Drama Camp Goes on Tour
The 2019 Drama Camp production of “Annie JR.” took to the road this month making a performance tour to two Flagstaff area nursing homes. By special arrangement with the Flagstaff Library, Director Lynn Rouyer took the show on the road to the Brookdale Senior Living Center on the morning of July 5th and then on to Haven Health for an afternoon performance that same day. The kids were treated to lunch in town between the performances and then stopped off for treats after the afternoon performance before returning to home base in Munds Park. The picture below was taken at Brookdale.
Not only did the residents enjoy the young entertainers as they performed and sang excerpts from the production, but it also provided the opportunity for the kids to perform in front of live audiences as a warm up prior to their big opening and performance weekend at the Pinewood Playhouse on July 12, 13 and 14.
Pinewood Players thanks the Flagstaff Library and Lynn Rouyer for arranging these special performances and for giving our Drama Camp participants an opportunity to showcase their talents and bring a joyful experience to the residents of Brookdale and Haven Health. Surely it was a memorable day for all!
