Plays

This is a comedy with humor and heart. Two angels, who are very competitive, are working on their final exam before receiving their wings. They are sent to help Dave who is having cold feet on his wedding day. Not everyone can see the angels which enhances the comedic situations. The show will be presented June 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18.
“Dear Ruth” by Norman Krasna will be directed by Bill Kane. Performances will be July 28, 29, 30 and August 4, 5, 6. The play debuted on Broadway in 1944 making it a “sweet oldie.” It takes place in 1944. Army Lt. William Seawright has returned from the Allied Front for a two day leave. He hopes to connect with Ruth, the girl who wrote him every day. Only it turns out Ruth didn’t write the letters. Who did? The confusion is hilarious and makes it a zany stew.
“The Crazy Quilt Club” by Pat Cook will be directed by Linda Sustman. Performances are August 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27. The comedy/mystery involves six kooky retired quilters who live in a residence provided by a “benefactor.” They’re looked after by Dr. Joyce. Her aunt Veronica, a mystery author, comes to visit. Suddenly, there’s a murder. A bumbling police officer tries to solve the murder with the help of the writer. His job is hampered by one who totes a gun, one who carries a knife, and one who lies constantly.
