Jennifer Adams is an Arizona native who is the the Creative Arts and Theatre Director/Teacher at a private school in Phoenix. She has trained with world-renowned vocal instructors and learned to perfect her craft. As a performer first, Jennifer has been seen on several Arizona stages in numerous productions such as the World Premier of Blackbeard: the Musical (Mary understudy), the Arizona premiere of The Secret Garden (Lily), an ariZoni Award for Brigadoon (Meg), The King and I (Lady Thiang), Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), Joseph . . . Dreamcoat (Narrator), Carrie the Musical (Miss Gardner), Les Miserables (Fantine),
among many, many others. She has worked extensively as a professionalin both Operatic and Music Theatre repertory across the southwest for over 30 years. Jennifer is also an accomplished pianist and a renowned music director for countless award-winning productions over the years, including her Zoni award winning Matilda. She has taught music and theatre for numerous performing arts schools, which includes creating and heading the music theater program at the prestigious Arizona School for the Arts in downtown Phoenix. Her students have performed all over the country and abroad, including the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway, Carnegie Hall, Disney and many cruise lines. Primarily focused in youth theater, she has directed, music directed and choreographed a multitude of productions over the years. Her true passion is working with the youth and she loves “all her kids”, keeping in touch over the years. Jennifer is the owner/proprietor of a private voice and piano studio in the valley, where she teaches, as well as coaches audition prep. When not at school, teaching privately or working a summer camp or at a local theater, Jennifer enjoys traveling with her husband, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially being Mimi her 2 adorable grandkids. Big thanks to Nancy, Lu, and the PWP for inviting her back year after year. And thank you to Elizabeth, for being an amazing bestie and roomie these past 3 weeks! She would also like to send a shout out to Kenne, her incredibly supportive husband . . . “and the day after”!

Elizabeth Peterson

Elizabeth Peterson is an award-winning theater artist who seamlessly navigates between teaching artist, professional designer, and performer. Elizabeth studied both design and performance at Arizona State University, where she received a BFA in theater as well as a minor in Design. She began work toward a graduate level degree in Arts Entrepreneurship and looks forward to ultimately completing her MFA. Elizabeth’s desire to share her love of the arts instinctively called her to the world of teaching where she has taught for over 20 years. As an educator she has worked as the Director of Theater Arts at multiple schools
and even as the resident costume designer for Scottsdale Community College, where she could integrate her design and teaching skills. Currently, Elizabeth works as the performing arts instructor at a private school in Phoenix, where she teaches Theater, Music, Dance and Art. Elizabeth is proud to be the Costume Shop Manager at TheaterWorks in Peoria AZ, a nationally recognized theater for their unique and innovative work. Elizabeth enjoys creating interactive and transformative costumes that can become a performance in themselves. Her designs have graced numerous venues but some of her favorite productions as a costume
designer are TheaterWorks productions of Curiouser and Curiouser, Wizard of Oz, Frozen, and most recently Cats. Elizabeth’s love for the performing arts began at a young age and was inspired and encouraged by her family. She trained as a young performer in Dance and soon fell in love with all the performing arts. As a native Arizonian she has performed on many valley stages but has also worked as a performer in New Zealand and The Netherlands where she worked both as a performer/host on a live television game show, Play2Win and also as a performer for a movement based theater troupe Bodydismorfic. Elizabeth is thrilled to be able to share her experiences and knowledge as an artist with PWP and wants to say a big thank you for inviting her up for her first year! She is beyond excited to spend the summer with these amazing kiddos that her bestie Jennifer Adams tells her about year after year!!!!
